Bibhabori: Sadia Ayman’s Horror Film Premieres Today on Deepto Play

This Halloween, “Bibhabori” arrives on Deepto Play, bringing a story that blends mystery, fear, and emotion. The web film is directed by Tito Rahman and based on Anish Das Apu’s short story “Madhyorater Khabar".

When Darkness Follows

The story revolves around Nitu, a young girl from a struggling family who moves to the city for her studies. Life in the city is not easy, she works as a babysitter at a daycare center to manage her expenses and sends money home for her sick mother. To save costs, she rents a small room in an old hostel on the outskirts of the city.

Lately, Nitu feels uneasy while returning through the lonely road near her hostel. Strange sounds, footsteps, someone seems to be following her. Yet she carries on, focused on survival. Hoping to earn more, she opens an online babysitting page. One day, she receives a call from a family on the other side of the city. The parents are heading to a party, leaving their child in her care. But it happens to be the night of a lunar eclipse, a night when something ancient awakens.

What happens next slowly unfolds into a story where the line between reality and the unseen begins to blur.

Director Tito Rahman shared,

“In Bangladesh, very few projects have explored pure ghost stories in a serious way. We wanted to make something that truly reflects fear, without overdramatizing it. Even with our budget and technical limitations, the team gave their best effort to make the story feel real and intense.”

Bibhabori features Sadia Ayman in the lead role, along with Eresh Zaker, Fariha Shams Seuti, Rozi Siddiqui, and Rifah Naziba. Their performances bring both emotion and depth to this dark and thought-provoking story.
